Drug Cartels Are Going Crazy, Kill 3 People Tied To U.S. Consulate In Mexico

Two Americans and a third man with ties to the U.S. Consulate in Mexico were killed Saturday in broad daylight after drug gang hit men ambushed their vehicles in a drive by shooting.

The Americans were killed while their child sat uninjured in a car seat in Ciudad Juarez. A third person, a Mexican man, was slain while his two children were injured.

All three were leaving the same birthday party before they were murdered.

This is the first time in years that any of the gangs have staged an attack on U.S. government employees.

The city of Ciudad Juarez has seen an increase in violence as gangs struggle for power in the area that's been known to serve as an entry point for drugs into the U.S.

Nearly 50 people were killed this weekend in Mexico with ties to gang violence.
