Shackled, naked inmate escapes from hospital!!!

Bradley Norris probably wouldn't have made it very far on his own.

He was, after all, running through Lake Wales in the buff. Not to mention that his ankles were shackled.

Polk County Sheriff's officials said the incident began when Norris told Detention Deputy Michelle Threatt he had to go to the bathroom, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

Norris was being treated at a medical center at the time.

Per protocol, Threatt shackled Norris' ankles together. But when he got up from his bed, Norris attacked the 40-year-old detention deputy, eventually overpowering her.

It was during the struggle that Norris' gown was torn off. So when he fled the room, and ultimately the hospital, the only clothes Norris was wearing were his socks.

Local police spotted Norris at the Lake Wales Art Center, about 300 yards from the hospital, and he was captured.
