Local News:Owner backed a car into a bank on Nepperhan Avenue!!

YONKERS — A car sped across a Yonkers street and hit a bank this afternoon.

A witness, Morris Friedberg, said a 2005 Toyota backing out of the Chase Bank lot sped across Nepperhan Avenue and up the HSBC Bank steps, smashing the bank window..

No one was injured in the 1:19 p.m. mishap, police said.

Fire and police are on the scene of the 1201 Nepperhan Ave. accident.
