"All the planes were loaded with 500 pound bombs," Parsons told Tampa Bay's 10Connects.com.

Today he lives out his life in Haley's Cove, Tampa's Veterans' Affairs Hospital's nursing home.

Police say two women stole his debit and credit cards and charged more than $5,000 in three months until his bank noticed the cash flow out of his account.

Maxima Jackson and Deana Coney-Wright were arrested this Memorial Day weekend and charged with grand theft and exploitation of the elderly, reports 10Connects.com.

Coney-Wright was Parsons' nurse.

He says what gets him is that she taught him to put his valuables in his pillow for safe-keeping. "The girl said put your change and everything in your pillow, get it all the way down to the bottom and sleep on the other side. So that's what I did," Parsons told 10Connects.com.

"I wouldn't put charges against her if she needed that money real bad, " said Parsons. "And if they come and apologize to me."
