The latest Facebook redesign has been begrudgingly accepted by the whiny masses, and now that everyone has stopped complaining and started actually paying attention, some interesting new features are being revealed. One of those tweaks, caught by Nick O'Neill at All Facebook, is how relationships now appear in the news feed. Specifically, when friends get engaged, the corresponding update is automatically accompanied by a photo of the couple in order to help the post stand out.
It seems that Facebook randomly selects a photo in which both halves of the couple are tagged, and places it next to the relationship status update in the news feed. It's a subtle, but nice, touch that adds a little more personality to the often ignorable changes in people's romantic entanglements.
