Pregnant Woman Denied at UK Cheese Counter!!!

|

In a move many husbands might say verges on suicide, a British supermarket clerk refused to sell a pregnant woman cheese, saying she wasn’t allowed the unpasteurized cheddar for health reasons. Janet Lehain, 31, had to promise the female employee behind the Sainsbury’s deli counter she wouldn’t eat it herself, then penned a furious letter to management outlining “the most patronizing encounter I have had the misfortune of experiencing in a long time.” “It’s the nanny state gone crazy,” she continued. “Someone in Sainsbury’s is not a medical expert and so is not qualified to start handing out medical advice.” And, red-faced, management has apologized. “Our colleague made a mistake,” a spokesman tells the BBC. “Unpasteurized cheddar does not pose a risk to health during pregnancy.”
