Thieves Get Away With 800-Pound ATM!!!

|

Police are hunting for two thieves who walked into a Philadelphia-area hospital Monday night and waltzed out with an 800-pound ATM filled with $96,000 in cash.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the robbers hid their faces from surveillance cameras, unplugged the ATM, disabled its alarm and rolled it out on a dolly. The whole operation took about two minutes.

"This was sophisticated, well planned, well managed," Upper Darby Police Superintendant Michael Chitwood told the newspaper. "They knew what they were doing and where they were going." WTXF-TV, a Fox station in Philadelphia, reported that a couple hours passed before anyone realized the ATM had been stolen. (For that information and a look at the surveillance footage, watch the video clip above.)
The cash machine and the thieves' van were found ablaze Tuesday night in South Philadelphia, the Inquirer said. The cash was gone.
