Michael Jordan to be inducted into Basketball Hall of Fame!!!

|

It was just a matter of time – 10 years to be exact – for one of the greatest (if not the greatest) basketball players of all time to join his fellow greats. Michael Jeffrey Jordan with other National Basketball Association luminaries: former Utah Jazz point-guard John Stockton, Jazz coach Jerry Sloan, and ex-San Antonio Spur David Robinson, will be enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts tomorrow.

Jordan elevated the sport into heights not seen before, while raising the financial rewards for himself and his fellow players. He was the first basketball player to earn nine figures in endorsement contracts and a $30 million single-year playing contract with the Chicago Bulls.

Jordan steered the Bulls to consecutive Finals titles in 1990-1993, and 1995-1998, the gap filled by his flirtation with professional baseball. His two “three-peats” could have been an uninterrupted series of eight championships if not for his temporary retirement.

With his five NBA regular-season Most Valuable Players awards, and six NBA Finals MVPs, is added his 1992 Olympic basketball gold medal with the first-ever Dream Team.
