Just weeks before the retrial of C-Murder (Corey Miller), Juan Flowers, a current inmate and friend of the rapper has come forward claiming responsibility for the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy outside of a New Orleans nightclub in 2002.
Flowers, who was with Miller the night of the shooting, is currently serving a life sentence in Georgia for an unrelated homicide. He told authorities that it was he, not Miller, who fired the gun at victim, Steve Thomas.
A judge is currently reviewing the validity of Flowers' confession, and deciding whether his testimony in court will be granted. Miller's legal team is requesting that Flowers be transported from the Georgia prison he resides in to the court, claiming that his testimony is "relevant and he is a material witness."
Miller is currently serving a 10-year sentence on an unrelated second-degreee murder conviction, which he pleaded no contest to. Having already served jail time, the rapper is currently under house arrest and could possibly finish his sentence in a matter of months.
